No one hate me for this post….

East Coast I am sorry for all the devastation Hurricane Sandy did to your shoreline. But please do not just rebuild. Please look at Climate Change science and take this opportunity to rebuild smartly away from the coastline. In the next 50 years, the East Coast will experience at least 1 foot of sea level rise. This may not seem like a lot, but it is. By moving away from the shoreline, government will not have to continually rebuild every time a storm event comes. By keeping our shoreline presentine, it will cool storm systems allowing for hurricanes to loose some of their power and become a storm we can build for. Even though you may loose some of your precious memories, we will be saving lives, money, and resources essential to our nation.
